independent front suspension Independent front suspension incorporates a massive pressed steel cross-member to which are hinged unequal length wishbone links to ensure minimum tyre wear. Two coil springs, operating with telescopic hydraulic dampers provide a safe and stable ride. A 13/16 in. (20.6 mm.) diameter anti-roll bar is incorporated. The rear suspension is of the conventional type, employing two extra long semi-elliptic leaf springs which are fitted with steel and rubber bullets. The rear springs are 47 in. (1.194 m.) long and 2 in. (50.8 mm.) wide and have nine leaves.
